What We Believe

At The Bridge Long Island, our faith is centered on Jesus Christ and the truth of God’s Word.

We believe in one God: Father, Son, and Holy Spirit.

We believe that Jesus Christ is the Son of God, that He came into this world for us, died on the cross for our sins, rose again, and offers forgiveness, salvation, hope, and eternal life to everyone who puts their faith in Him.

We believe the Bible is God’s Word and provides truth, wisdom, direction, and a foundation for how we live, love, forgive, serve, and treat one another.

We believe every person matters to God. Nobody comes to Him with a perfect past. We all make mistakes. We all fall short. And we all need grace.

We believe in forgiveness and second chances. Your worst decision does not have to become the final chapter of your story. Through Jesus Christ, there is forgiveness, restoration, and the opportunity for a new beginning.

We believe faith does not guarantee an easy life. Christians experience pain, loss, fear, disappointment, temptation, doubt, and difficult seasons just like everyone else. But we believe God is present in those moments, and we can turn to Him for strength, guidance, peace, and hope.

We believe prayer matters. We believe loving your neighbor matters. We believe serving others matters. We believe families matter. We believe compassion matters. And we believe our faith should be demonstrated not only by what we say, but by the way we live and the way we treat people.

We also believe questions are okay. You don't have to understand everything before you walk through the door. Whether your faith is strong, you're trying to find your way back to God, or you're simply searching for answers, you are welcome to listen, learn, and be part of the conversation.

Most importantly, we believe that no matter where you've been or what you've done, God isn't finished with your story.
